St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

I should NOT be charged by booking for this stay. Booking. Cancelled my reservation. I tried to have booking . Com change my room to a lower rate. They told me they emailed Union Station-to request the room change and rebook to waive the cancellation fee bc I wanted to change rooms but keep the same dates…When we arrived my reservation was cancelled . They did waive the fee and luckily they had. Room I could book on October 2-4. So I booked direct myself and I resolved the issues on arrival. I was sent an email from booking my booking reservation was cancelled . Therefore Union station curio rebooked me upon arrival and waived the cancellation free. When we first arrived, it was a bit chaotic because we weren't sure where to go. But in no time, our hero Kirk met us with a dolly to unload our baggage, got us thru registration and into our room in no time. This hotel is beautiful, with historic architecture. It is huge and takes a bit to learn your way around, but so worth it! So many activities on the property, such as the big ferris wheel, mini golf, light shows inside and out and the aquarium. Several good restaurants too. Staff were all amazing and did a fantastic job!

The staff was amazing! The food from The Station Grill and some of the other property eateries was fresh and perfect each time we ordered. Getting needed toiletries was as simple as calling the front desk, and none of the staff seemed irritated at the request. Additionally, the hourly lobby shows on the ceiling were fun, and our daughter loved them. The hotel is also conveniently located in regard to local attractions, and the architecture of the building is something you don't want to miss seeing.

Parking was easy to access and attendants were personable. The Aquarium gave us a discount on the parking since we purchased general admission tickets, so parking was only $5 a night. The room was clean and comfortable - we had four people in our party and it was plenty roomy for all of us. Our room was on the first floor. We ate dinner (we ordered take out from Maggiano's Little Italy) on the patio outside our room. The weather was pleasant and cool. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and a must see if you are in St.Louis! It conveniently located to all activities in downtown as well as being close to the interstate. Private parking lot was great and eliminated the need to hunt for a spot every day.
