Unique hotel with lots to do on-site....especially with our 11 and 14 year old. Explore the previous train station, enjoy the lobby light show, walk the garden and water area, feed fish, ride a ferris wheel with Arch views, play mini golf, even go to the aquarium. Room was quiet and clean with a nice size bathroom. Best of all, staff everywhere were friendly and helpful--from the front desk to the parking attendants to multiple restaurant personnel. Convenience and fun with a really nice breakfast buffet and omelette station to boot.

The staff was amazing! The food from The Station Grill and some of the other property eateries was fresh and perfect each time we ordered. Getting needed toiletries was as simple as calling the front desk, and none of the staff seemed irritated at the request. Additionally, the hourly lobby shows on the ceiling were fun, and our daughter loved them. The hotel is also conveniently located in regard to local attractions, and the architecture of the building is something you don't want to miss seeing.

Parking was easy to access and attendants were personable. The Aquarium gave us a discount on the parking since we purchased general admission tickets, so parking was only $5 a night. The room was clean and comfortable - we had four people in our party and it was plenty roomy for all of us. Our room was on the first floor. We ate dinner (we ordered take out from Maggiano's Little Italy) on the patio outside our room. The weather was pleasant and cool. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel.

Buckingham

Unique historical building located in the heart of the city; perfect for getting to and from activities. Lots of activities and food located in Union Station. We enjoyed looking at the architecture and watching the light shows. The metra stops close by, making it easy and convenient to explore other parts of the city.

The atmosphere was amazing here, I brought my three kids and husband to spend a day at the union station aquarium. The fact that everyone there is so nice and accommodating was awesome. My favorite was the breakfast staff, we had the same waiter both mornings, he was super sweet and knowledgeable about the area!
